Our history and story so far
PALOMA SEJATI is an Indonesian private company which established on September 27th, 2011. Our business activity is International Fishing Vessel Crew Agent who providing and supplying Indonesian Crew for Fishing Vessels (Long Liner, Trawler, Purse Seine, Gillnet, Squid Jigging, etc).
Until now, the company have cooperation with 92 (ninety-two) Foreign Fishing Vessel Owners and supplied crews to 112 Fishing Vessels Flag: Spain, Portugal, France, Chile, South Africa, Ukraine, Belize, Tanzania, Seychelles and Curacao. The company grew up fastly and have been supplying more than 4.000 fishing crews to foreign fishing vessel. In Asia, we also have been supplying fishing crew near coastal (Local Fishing Vessel) flag South Korea with resident visa, there are more than 200 fishing crews in this country.
In order to comply with international regulations about Safety in Personal and Ship, since 2016 we have verified by Directorate General of Sea Transportation – Ministry of Transportation Republic Indonesia as an International Maritime Organization (IMO) representative. We have complied with the regulation of Minister of Transportation Number PM 84 Year 2013, Concerning Recruitment and Placement of Seafarers on Board Vessel and complied to provision under the Regulation 1.4, Maritime Labor Convention (MLC) 2006 and its amendment.
On December,7, 2020 our company was verified by Mr. Hamsyah Dewanto, Surveyor to Lloyd’s Register Asia a member of the Lloyd’s Register Group that Statement of Compliance for Recruitment and Placement Service, Regulation 1.4, Maritim Labor Convention (MLC), 2006.
On April 1, 2019, The President of Republic Indonesia ratified the IMO convention on STCW-F 1995 (Standards of Training, Certifcation, and Watchkeeping for Fishing Vessel Personels).
We know that the Government of Spain and Portugal have ratified the STCWF first. For complied this regulation, we are ready for recruit and place Indonesia Seafarers comply STCW-F 1995. We have cooperation with Education and Training Center comply STCW-F : Jakarta Fisheries University (STP Jakarta), three (3) Fisheries Academy in Indonesia and five (5) Education and Training Fisheries Center in Indonesia.
We cooperate with Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Training Department to train the crew for occupancy:
- Deck Officer / Engine Officer Certificate of Competency Clas I for Fishing Vessel
- Deck Officer / Engine Officer Certificate of Competency Clas II for Fishing Vessel
- Deck Officer / Engine Officer Certificate of Competency Clas III for Fishing Vessel
- Rating in Fishing Vessel.
